Who we are
This ministry is called the All Christian Practical Praying Band (ACPPB). It is not a church. It is a non-profit religious organisation that believes in the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ as contained in the Holy Bible.
It is a fellowship where unity and love are practised, showing that we are the children of God. In this ministry you will learn how to draw closer to God. It is also a healing ministry, a spiritual fellowship whose activities are guided and directed by the Holy Spirit.
Mission
To grow in the knowledge and love of God through fellowship, faith, love and unity.
Purpose
Advancing God's kingdom through service by the leading of the Holy Spirit.
What we believe
The Word of God
We believe the Bible is the word of God, and we hold to the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ as contained in the Holy Scriptures.
The Holy Trinity
We believe in God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, one God in three persons.
Salvation in Christ
We believe in salvation through the sacrifice and mediation of our Lord Jesus Christ alone.
Prayer and fasting
Through praying and fasting we seek to bring all mankind under the umbrella of Christ's grace.
Unity and love
Ours is a fellowship where unity and love are practised, showing that we are the children of God.
A healing ministry
It is a spiritual fellowship whose activities are guided and directed by the Holy Spirit, and it is also a healing ministry.
Our founding
The Praying Band was formed on 24 May 1957 by God's divine will through the person of the late Elder Pa Eleazer Nwankwo Nwokolo, a retired mission school teacher, in collaboration with his devoted wife Madam Sophie O. Nwokolo, both natives of Umunebo Village, Ufuma, in the Aguata area of Nigeria.
From that beginning the fellowship has grown into chapels and zones at home and overseas. Overseas Region 2 gathers the chapels of the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.
